Extension

Extension services is primarily aimed at people empowerment and human resource development in order to facilitate the diffusion of information and technology to individuals and communities. It is through this function that research- based knowledge rand the university competence are brought to larger communities to effect development.

Vision

The Extension and Community Services of the university is the provider of extension programs that will bring total community development. It is seen as a community builder by being more visible in the rural communities working with partner- agencies in the delivery of appropriate and adequate services to target clients through credible and sustainable development projects that will eventually improve their quality of life.

Mission

The University is committed to the transformation of its partner-communities into empowered , self –reliant and self – sustaining societies. More specifically , it commits itself to :

  1. Develop the campuses and colleges as a strong and dynamic center on community development through the conduct of trainings and seminars ; establishments of pilot demonstration projects and the provision of professional and technical services along agriculture , fisheries , engineering , education , local governance and other fields.
  2. Establish and develop pilot barangays as social laboratories on community development.
  3. Develop approaches , strategies and models of extension services to promote technology adoption and community project development activities ;
  4. Establish and maximize intra and inter linkages on community development for the  different activity centers and operating units;
  5. Efficiently and effectively reach- out to target-clients through various modes and channels in collaboration with partner- agencies ;and
  6. Document and publish development activities and projects.
