Andrews Campus-Cagayan State University through the College of Business Accountancy and Entrepreneurship held the first ever two-day Business Summit on last February 11-12.
The said summit was participated by the campuses offering Business Courses – Aparri, Gonzaga, Sanchez Mira and Andrews Campus.
The said summit was an offshoot of the networking activity among the deans and coordinators of the mentioned campuses last December.
“We invited resource speakers from the Department of Trade and Industry to lecture on business plan operation and the Department of Labor and Employment for the Employment Counseling Seminar,” Prof. Placido Tuddao said.
Manila and as well as local-based employees such as recruitment agencies and multi-national agencies to provide job opportunities for our graduates and graduating class were present uring the Job Fair ,” Tuddao added.
Other activities that highlighted the said affair were the Business Quiz Bee, Search for Mr. and Ms. Summit 2010, product presentations of Entrepreneur and other minor organizations and the CBEA-ColSG re-valentine party.
“These activities augmented the academic competency and skill development of the students”, Tuddao added.
Moreover, the CBEA business laboratory of the organization was launched and officers of the University Business Student Government were elected.
“I learned about the opportunities and advances in the field of business and these I believe will develop my interest and proficiency as a business student,” one student commented.
Meanwhile, the Business Summit was participated by to 300 delegates.
