PRESIDENT URDUJAH ALVARADO RECEIVES PHILIPPINE RESILIENCE AWARD

In recognition and honor of President Alvarado’s achievements to building a climate- and disaster-resilient Philippines amidst complex and systemic challenges, the National Resilence Council awarded her as one of the Top 10 women in the Philippines that contributed to disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation and mitigation in their respective communities. The award was given at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City today, October 12, 2023.
Dr. Alvarado is joined by other women from all over the Philippines who were nominated and who passed through a screening highlighting evidence-informed, and science and technology-based local leadership and innovative solutions.
The Philippine Resilience Awards (PRA) is a pioneering awards program that honors and promotes the resilience-building excellence of local leaders in the country. Its primary goal is to recognize champions of resilience in various sectors and communities.
