CSU GRANDSTAND SOON TO RISE IN CARIG CAMPUS

A new edifice is in the works at the Cagayan State University Carig Campus! The Groundbreaking Ceremony for the first-ever CSU Grandstand marks the beginning of the new mega-project on campus. The infrastructure project was made possible through the sponsorship of Congressman Joseph "Jojo" L. Lara.

University President Urdujah G. Alvarado expressed her gratitude to Cong. Lara for the support and assistance he has extended to CSU in creating provisions that would make learning more conducive. "I know that this grandstand will surely be a place of unity and camaraderie. It will definitely house many university-wide events, a place for coming together and celebrating as one family," she added.

Cong. Lara, in his message, expressed that he still has a lot of plans on the works for Cagayan State University, including the improvement of CSU Carig’s Red Eagle Gymnasium and the roads leading to the campus. Congressman Lara is also the main proponent of the CSU Solana Campus and responsible for the construction of a 3-storey dormitory at the Carig campus.

The event transpired last June 8, 2023 as part of the university’s Sapphire Anniversary, and was attended by Congressman Joseph L. Lara, University President Urdujah G. Alvarado, Engr. Mariano B. Malupeng, Dr. Zarah De Guzman-Lara, university and campus officials, and student leaders.
