CSU Launches 18-day Campaign to END VAWC

An 18-day University campaign to End Violence Against Women and their Children (VAWC) was launched Monday, Nov. 27, 2017 in Cagayan State University with a theme “VAW Free Community Starts with me”.

The said campaign was organized by the University Gender and Development (GAD) office lead by the University Focal Person, Dr Jocelyn D. Tuscano.

All administrative employees and Faculty members were encouraged to wear orange shirt in support of the said campaign. Moreover, Facebook Profile Picture were customized to END VAWC frame for the Online Advocacy of the 18-day campaign.

Streamers calling for the protection of women and children were displayed among the 8 campuses of the university as part of the activities during the campaign. Students were also requested to participate in the Signature campaign to End VAWC.

Furthermore, Seminar on Anti-Sexual Harassment and Committee for Decorum and Investigation (CODI) Dissemination was conducted for the awareness of the students of their rights and legal mandates that covers the said issue.

Dr. Tuscano, personally opened the 18-day campaign to End VAWC asking every CSU Faculty, Employee and Students the full support for a Violence free university.
