In the efforts to establish and strengthen the global relations of the University, Vice President for Partnership and Resource Mobilization Lina M. Garan, Vice President for Academic Affairs Mariden V. Cauilan, and CSU Lal-lo Campus Executive Officer Ricardo B. Casauay visited Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island in Canada in May 16-23, 2019 to conduct an academic internationalization and study mission visit.
The trip was facilitated by the Canadian Executive Service Organization (CESO) through Mr. Kevin Quinlan, CSU’s CESO Advisor. The different academic institutions that were visited included Nova Scotia Community College-Truro Campus, Dalhousie University Faculty of Agriculture, Holland College, Atlantic Veterinary College, and St. Mary’s University. This visit brought into light different opportunities for partnership in the form of capacity building, faculty and student exchanges, curriculum development and enhancement, e-learning, and collaborative research in the future.
The observed best-case practices of the different academic institutions that were visited during the trip will be considered for implementation and letters of intent for future institutional partnerships were also sent out to solidify the collaboration.
