CSU COMPLETES 2025 MANDATORY SUC LEVELLING VALIDATION, SETS STRATEGIC BASELINE FOR INSTITUTIONAL GROWTH

Cagayan State University (CSU) successfully completed the 2025 SUC Levelling Validation and Points Generation on February 26, 2026, signaling a major step in strengthening its quality assurance and performance evaluation systems.

Organized by the University Planning and Development Office, led by Dr. Ian Roger M. Francisco, the validation represents the university’s participation in the First Cycle of the Mandatory SUC Levelling Application, a historic nationwide initiative that shifts State Universities and Colleges assessment from voluntary participation to a unified evaluation of performance, impact, and institutional maturity.

University Technical Consultant Dr. Florentina S. Dumlao provided the essential framework for the day by discussing the guidelines for the evaluation of documents across all Key Result Areas (KRAs).

The validation of KRA 2, focusing on the Quality and Relevance of Instruction, was led by Dr. Ana Marie C. Cauilan, Vice-President for Internationalization, Partnership, and Resource Mobilization. Dr. Mariden V. Cauilan, Vice-President for Academic Affairs, spearheaded the evaluation for KRA 1 regarding Access and Equity, as well as the continuation of KRA 2.

The afternoon sessions transitioned to KRA 5, focusing on Governance and Management Resources, under the direction of Dr. Theresa B. Dimalanta, Vice-President for Administration and Finance. The final technical validation for KRA 3, Excellence in Research and Creative Works, and KRA 4, Extension Services, was managed by Engr. Audy R. Quebral, Vice-President for Research, Development, and Extension.

During the Post-Evaluation Conference, OIC-University President Arthur G. Ibañez emphasized that the validation marks only the beginning of sustained institutional advancement.

The successful completion of the mandatory cycle now serves as a strategic baseline for future growth, quality enhancement, and organizational development.
