Cagayan State University (CSU), in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Region II, officially launched the SPARK Technical Training on May 4, 2026, featuring the online course “Hire-ready: Essential Skills for BPO and BPM.”

Attended by thirty-five CSU graduating students, faculty & staff and alumna, the opening program of the 10-day Zoom-based training was graced by CSU Officer-In-Charge University President Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez and DICT Region II Regional Director Dr. Pinky T. Jimenez, together with Engr. Rogelio T. Layugan, Engr. Magdalena D. Gomez, Engr. Ronald S. Bariuan, and CSU Director for Special Projects Dr. Charmie S. Calvo.

Facilitated by SPARK Trainer Ms. Patricia M. Castro, with support from Mr. Edward Christian Y. Garan and Engr. John Batang, the program aims to equip participants with industry-relevant skills and competencies essential for success in the global BPO and BPM sectors
