Cagayan State University (CSU) sustained its tradition of excellence in teacher education after surpassing the national passing rate and producing two national topnotchers in the May 2026 Special Professional Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (SPLE).
The University celebrated the achievement of Jhon Carlo Trinidad Mabatan, LPT, who ranked 2nd nationwide, and Blessie Joy Lucero Bunagan, LPT, who placed 10th nationwide, bringing honor to CSU and the Cagayan Valley Region.
CSU likewise registered an overall 71.42% institutional passing rate in the Secondary Level and a 100% passing rate in the Elementary Level, both higher than the national averages.
Among the campuses, CSU Andrews posted perfect passing rates in both Elementary and Secondary examinations, while CSU Carig, CSU Sanchez Mira, and CSU Piat also contributed to the University's successful performance through the achievements of their new licensed professional teachers.
To our newly licensed professional teachers, congratulations on this well-deserved success. As you embark on your teaching careers, may you continue to uphold the values of excellence, integrity, and service that define a true CSU graduate.
To our Campus Executive Officers, College of Teacher Education Deans, faculty members, and staff of CSU Andrews, Carig, Sanchez Mira, and Piat, your dedication to quality instruction, mentoring, and student development has once again translated into outstanding licensure examination results.
Congratulations to all of you! #TatakCSU
