CSU ACHIEVES 100% FIRST-TIME PASSING RATE, PRODUCES TOPNOTCHERS IN MARCH 2026 PHYSICIANS LICENSURE EXAMINATION

Hard work, perseverance, and excellence defined the success of Cagayan State University’s medical graduates as they triumphed in the March 2026 Physicians Licensure Examination. Out of 16 first-time examinees, all successfully passed the examination, contributing to an overall institutional passing rate of 80.77%, surpassing the national passing rate of 70.26%.

Department of Agriculture Undersecretary Cheryl Marie Natividad-Caballero visited Cagayan State University - Carig Campus today, April 8. She was accorded a warm welcome by university administrators and staff, led by Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez, Officer-in-Charge University President, along with CSU Board of Regent Member, Dr. Urdujah G. Alvarado. During her visit, Undersecretary Caballero toured the Nursery for Vegetable Seed Propagation, the Electromobility Research and Development Center (EMRDC), and the Food Innovation Center (FIC). This was followed by presentations of proposals on Agri-product production and processing from various campuses, including CSU-Carig, CSU-Sanchez Mira, and CSU-Solana. Undersecretary Caballero is scheduled to visit other CSU campuses in the coming days.

Cheers and yells filled the Athena Grounds as the Cagayan State University – College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS) celebrated its outstanding performance in the March 2026 Medical Technologists Licensure Examination. The celebration featured a victory parade around Tuguegarao City, followed by a recognition program honoring the successful examinees. CSU was named the Top 2 Performing School, producing 187 passers and achieving a remarkable 99.47% institutional passing rate, significantly surpassing the 84.13% national passing rate. The event also highlighted the achievement of Mr. Marc Ian Bunagan Tuddao, who secured the Top 3 spot nationwide with a 92.80% rating and received a ₱40,000 cash incentive. Congratulations to all of you. Kudos!

Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez, OIC President of Cagayan State University (CSU) joined the officials of CSU – Sanchez Mira, led by CEO Dr. Rodel Francisco T. Alegado, together with faculty and staff of the College of Agriculture, in honoring the University’s newest licensed professionals during a testimonial dinner last February 16, 2026. The event recognized 24 newly licensed Agriculturists, who achieved an 82.76% passing rate in the November 2025 Agriculturist Licensure Examination (ALE) and 18 Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers, who posted a 72% passing rate in the December 2025 Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers Licensure Examination (ABELE). CSU PROGRAMS SECURE AACCUP RE-ACCREDITATION VALID UNTIL OCTOBER 2029-2030

Cagayan State University (CSU) strengthened its academic quality portfolio after multiple programs received re-accreditation from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), with validity until October 2029-2030. The Carig Campus’ BS in Civil Engineering and BS in Industrial Technology were both awarded Level IV re-accreditation. The technology program covers several specializations, including Automotive, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Drafting, Fashion and Apparel, and HVAC Technology. Meanwhile, the BS in Industrial and Commercial Communication (Carig Campus) and the Bachelor of Elementary Education major in General Education at Lasam Campus were granted Level III re-accreditation. AACCUP accreditation assesses programs based on faculty qualifications, curriculum, research productivity, extension services, facilities, and student support systems. Ana, Cagayan. The signing is part of the Strategic Planning Workshop and 2026 Targets Setting and Cascading, strengthening accountability, performance alignment, and shared commitment across the CSU system.
