Cagayan State University welcomed Mr. Jorge Luis Montalvo Salazar, Associate Researcher in Social Ecology at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, during his courtesy visit to Officer-In-Charge University President Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez on August 13, 2026.

Mr. Salazar joins the College of Agriculture at CSU Piat Campus as a Visiting Lecturer, sharing his professional expertise in taxonomy and ecology through a lecture on Insect Taxonomy.

The engagement is designed to deepen the understanding of BS Agriculture students and ALE 2026 reviewers on insect classification, identification, nomenclature, diversity, and ecological significance, as well as their applications in agricultural practice and biodiversity conservation.
