Research at Cagayan State University (CSU) Andrews Campus is being positioned not simply as an academic requirement but as a pathway toward meaningful solutions, as the campus conducted its In-House Review of Research Proposals for 2027 Funding.

Faculty researchers from the College of Teacher Education, College of Business, Entrepreneurship and Accountancy, College of Hospitality Management, College of Allied Health Sciences, and the Graduate School participated in the review, presenting proposed studies for evaluation and refinement.

The activity emphasized the need for research to begin with evidence and a clear understanding of community realities, while producing outputs that can contribute to institutional development and address the needs of stakeholders.

During the review, Cagayan State University Officer-In-Charge President Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez, reminded researchers to frame their work around the University’s 6Ps of Research: Publication, Patent and Intellectual Property, Product, People Services, Places and Partnerships, and Policy.

He emphasized that the value of research extends beyond publication. Research can generate knowledge for academic discourse while also opening opportunities for innovation, intellectual property, products, services, partnerships, places, and policy development.

Dr. Ibañez further called on faculty members to sustain their engagement in research and innovation and to continuously strive for excellence in their respective disciplines.

The In-House Review served as a critical step in transforming proposed studies into stronger research initiatives, ones that are grounded in evidence, responsive to actual needs, and capable of creating value beyond the university.
