Cagayan State University strengthened its record of professional licensure excellence after ranking as the Top 3 Performing School nationwide in the September 2026 Social Workers Licensure Examination (SWLE).
CSU posted an exceptional 98.31% overall passing rate, with 58 of 59 examinees successfully hurdling the licensure examination. Even more notably, all 56 first-time takers passed, giving CSU a 100% first-time passing rate.
The performance surpassed the 76.27% national passing rate, with 8,383 of 10,991 examinees passing the examination administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) this September.
The achievement highlights the sustained commitment of Cagayan State University's Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) program to producing competent, ethical and service-oriented professionals prepared to respond to the diverse social needs of communities.
The University extends its heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to CSU Carig Campus, under the leadership of Engr. Roger P. Rumpon, and the College of Public Administration, led by Dr. Dennis M. Bacuyag, and to all hardworking faculty and staff who guided and supported the examinees throughout their academic and professional preparation.
To our new licensed social workers: You have passed the board examination, now comes the greater responsibility of putting your profession to work for people. Carry it with competence, compassion and integrity.
Congratulations to all of you. You made CSU proud! #TatakCSU
